Drive Thru????

This is actually pretty old news. This happened on Oct 30, RIGHT after I got done voting. No, it's NOT my car, but I happened to be in that area at the time of the accident because I went to the registrar's office to vote. I didn't write about it then, because I didn't want to be distracted from my purpose and message at that time, which was voting.

It was the first day that it had rained in months here in Sac. Actually, the last time it has rained was Memorial Day weekend in late May, and it was just a trace. The last real rainfall we had had was in Feb 2008, so clearly the roads were slippery and it was a mess outside.

So, this is Oct 30, 2008. I can't explain how this accident happened even when it was explained to me. Everyone was fine, including the employees, thank God. But, from what I understand, they had to take the occupants out with the jaws of life. I heard that they jumped the median and went across two more lanes, through the parking lot and DEEP into this store. It was not intented to be a drive thru, but they must have thought it was :).
